Laura Schroeders, one of the owners of the Highlands Gem Shop, recently began designing her own line of jewelry and gifts called HAPI.

Surrounded in her studio by warm gemstones and cool natural mineral crystals, these are the pieces which inspire her creative designer collections. Moved by their beauty and uniqueness, she works at ways in which these gemstones and minerals can be transformed into something entirely new. 

Suzanne Sloan, manager of the Highlands Gem Shop, has been designing jewelry in house for the past 15 years.

Her quote “Jewelry With Attitude” says it all. Thinking out of the box gives her a challenge when thinking of a design concept and bringing it to life. From natural elements to her funky Steampunk designs, you can be sure of a unique piece to add to your collection.

Elizabeth M. Haskins is from Atlanta, GA. Art has always been a way for her, receiving a BVA from GSU in the field of silversmithing. She has attended Penland School of Crafts in NC.

Elizabeth enjoys working in the abstract, as well as traditional. Her designs are fabricated out of sterling silver and gold and precious stones in her jewelry pieces. She enjoys living in the mountains of NC creating her jewelry.
